If there’s one thing I’ve wanted to update since renovating our home, it’s our door hardware! When we
renovated six years ago, we didn’t have a huge budget to where I could splurge on anything + everything that I wanted to. But, as the years have gone on, we’ve been able to make small updates here and there like remodeling our fireplace, adding a farmhouse sink, updating light fixtures, etc. Most of our home’s hardware is gold/brass and one thing that has always seemed “off” to me was the satin nickel door hardware throughout our home. We were finally able to update it thanks to Nostalgic Warehouse and their gorgeous door hardware!
Nostalgic Warehouse offers a wide variety of hardware styles that will fit anyone’s desired look for their home. One thing that I love about their products is the vintage-inspired design that will really add character. Our previous door hardware just felt very “blah”. Once we added the new hardware, it instantly gave that added character + charm that I’ve been missing in my home. There are 12 collections available in 9 finishes to where you can mix and match knobs, plates and finishes to create your own customized style. They also offer cabinet hardware, wall plates and more!
I decided to go with their New York collection for our home because of the clean lines and tailored style. Our exterior doors are New York Entry Sets with New York Knobs while our interior doors are Studio Short Plates with New York Knobs… all in their Antique Brass finish. I also had to decide how I wanted each door knob to function: passage set, privacy lock, single dummy or double dummy. This blogpost on Nostalgic Warehouse’s website is a great resource that I used to learn more about the differences in each type of door function! Cole’s nursery, our guest bedroom and our guest bathroom all have a privacy lock while our coat closet, utility closet and laundry room all have passage sets. Our master bedroom, however, has french doors. Previously, we had a double dummy set on our doors but wanted to be able to lock them with our new door knobs. We did a single dummy on one door and a privacy lock on the other door. We ordered a set of french door door bolts that will keep the dummy side stationary so that we can lock the other side!

I am seriously obsessed with our new door knobs! They really add such a chic statement to our home that I’ve been craving. Door hardware is usually an afterthought, even though we use them multiple times a day! It is definitely one of the most important parts of a home, and the extra attention to detail won’t go unnoticed. If you’re thinking about upgrading your door hardware, I definitely think it is worth the investment! Head to the Nostalgic Warehouse website to see all that they have to offer + find your dream door hardware.
