Happy Friday, everyone!! A couple weeks ago my sister Lydia and I got together to bake our favorite sugar cookies {this was our first time baking them solo without our mom!}. I’ve tried {more like taste tested ;)} SO many different recipes {cookies} but none of them come close to this one. This is my mom and sisters’ favorite homemade sugar cookie recipe!! I baked them this time by myself {yikes!}, and if you’re needing some yummy treats for Christmas still, try this recipe and let me know what you think!

Spiced Sugar Cookie Recipe:
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup soft margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
Mix margarine, sugar, vanilla, eggs and sour cream together. Add dry ingredients and mix well {I love to use this Kitchen Aid mixer} – dough will be sticky. Refrigerate dough for several hours or overnight. Knead some flour into the dough to make it the right consistency to roll out and cut. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes at 350 degrees.
