Happy Friday, friends!! I am so, so excited to share my sister Keely’s intimate bridal shower with you all today! My other sister, Lydia, and I had so much fun throwing it for her! Keely’s wedding is not until December 2019, but we wanted to throw her a shower at our grandparent’s house before it is sold {sadly, they have both passed away}. All of the aunts and {girl} cousins were present at the same time in the home we always loved spending time at growing up, which was so special. Though our Meme + Pops could not be there in person, we know that they were both there in spirit watching every minute of her first bridal shower!
When we decided to have the shower the day after Christmas, I was so excited to start planning and loved the idea of a winter theme! I made a secret Pinterest board that I shared with my sisters to brainstorm ideas. Since this shower was quite small and casual, I didn’t go too crazy with decor {I’ll save that for her main shower next fall ;)} and used a lot of my own personal decorations that I have collected throughout the years. We knew we wanted lots of greenery, some wood tones, a hint of red and of course a bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes! Over the past few years Meme would purchase a bundt cake or two for special occasions so it was no surprise when Keely wanted one for her shower.
We played one quick game to see who knew the bride best and then she opened her gifts! It was so much fun to see the items that would become a part of her new home with Bryce after they’re married. For dinner, we ate our Meme’s famous chicken + spaghetti hot dishes {soo yummy!!} and topped it off with some gorgeous + yummy cookies {made by Amelia’s Kitchen} and lemon bundt cake. It was the most wonderful night celebrating Keely and Bryce!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have the best weekend!
I love the decorations. Its like a winter wonderland with the pine needle cookies and the forest fauna.
Thank you so much! The pine needle cookies were one of my fav touches!
What a wonderful intimate gathering for your sister and family – you did a great job with the winter theme and food selections. I especially loved the initial on the delicious looking bundt cake and on the cookies. Congrats to your sister on her upcoming wedding – your whole family is beautiful, and how lucky your sister is to have you host this special event.
Thank you! That means a lot. You are too sweet!!
Absolutely amazing bridal shower! I’d die to have one looking like that:)) Very fairy-tale like!
Thank you! 🙂
OMG, I am eyeing all the beautiful pastries you had in your bridal shower, and I must say, it looks amazing! So happy that you had a great time!
Thank you! They were super yummy!!
First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts
in getting my ideas out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are generally lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
Thanks!
